So this is proof that my little nugget is a stinker! Every time we get her to smile it is so hard to capture it on film. Sometimes I am able to get a couple of good pictures, but as soon as she notices the camera out she stops smiling. I think she is just fascinated by the camera and forgets about everything else and tries to figure out what it is, but a part of me just thinks she's being like her mama who does not like having pictures taken! She's a lot cuter than her mama and should enjoy taking the pictures!

Stole from my mama's blog
What Your Flip Flops Say About You |
You live to have fun, and your sense of humor is downright goofy. You are a big kid on the inside, and you have a very open heart. You try to make every day feel like a vacation, even if you have other responsibilities. Each day, you make a little bit of time to play and let loose. Your ideal warm weather place: Disney World |
I just would rather go to Disneyland, rather than Disney World. I'd like to avoid going back to Florida as long as possible! California is way better.

Enjoying her bouncer
Today was the first time she was aware of the animals hanging and was kicking them and watching the lights and everything. She's growing so fast!

Funny story
Layla had a cute little yellow dress on with a little yellow bow in her hair, but before I could get a picture she's leaked some pee out of her diaper and I had to take it off. Luckily she still looks just as cute! She wasn't too happy here because she wasn't being held. Yes, we spoil her by holding her whenever she cries, but I don't really care because I love to hold my baby!
She finally calmed down long enough to get this picture.
She finally calmed down long enough to get this picture.
So I was sitting over here updating the blog earlier and Layla was asleep on her boppy as usual. All of a sudden I hear this scream come from her and by the time I get over there she's already back asleep....
...she had startled herself awake by jumping over her bopping and landing in this awkward position. I guess it was comfortable because she fell right back asleep. She didn't even wake up when I picked her up and moved her back to how she was!
Someone thinks daddy is funny! She can only smile for a little bit at a time, but it's so cute! I think she was trying to laugh at Jeremy because she was making a little grunting noise. It was so cute!
Tired baby
Layla was trying so hard to fall asleep one night, but Jeremy and I weren't going to bed for another hour or so, so we were trying to keep her awake until we went to bed. We tried everything, but she was so tired she fell asleep anyways. She's a little sleepy girl and takes naps every day, which is nice because I either nap with her or I'm able to get some work done around the house. She's got a good routine down at night, and it's getting better. She usually needs a midnight feeding and goes down (that's when I go to sleep) then she wakes up about three hours later for a quick meal and falls right back asleep. Then she usually wakes up around six and eats and stays awake for a good couple of hours. Her first nap is usually around 9, then she takes one or two more throughout the day. Once she's fast asleep, she will sleep through anything. The dog will bark right next to her or I'll run the vacuum right by, and she doesn't even flinch! She's just like her daddy.

My awesome sister!!
Within the first few hours of signing up for the JDRF walk/run my sister, Wendi donated 50$ to my fund! That's half of my goal! I was so excited, and then I checked my page out and saw that my friend Colleen donated the other half! So I reached my goal 100% within hours of registering for the walk!
Now, I have raised my goal to 300$. I have until August 9th to reach it and I really hope that I can count on my friends and family to help me reach that goal. Thank you so much Wendi and Colleen!!!!!!! You two rock!
JDRF
In August I am doing a 5k run/walk to help raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. I have family that has been effected by this, and it's a very important cause for us. I am walking for my Black Grandma, who died over two years ago due to complications from diabetes. She struggled for such a long time with this and endured so much pain and her life was changed drastically. I am also inspired by my little cousin, Janae. She has lived with diabetes since she was 6 years old. Janae is almost 15 years old now and still going strong and taking such good care of herself.
I am now asking my friends to do their part. I need donations! My goal is to raise 100$. Any amount will help me get to that! So if you'd like you can send a check to me at home, and if you need my address just shoot me an email jcsnowbunny@gmail.com or you can go to my profile on the JDRF website and donate there. click here to donate!
Thank you!!

Are you there Vodka??
I highly recommend reading this book. I laughed so hard while reading it. Chelsea is my new favorite Jew. The book is a quick read and she speaks as though she's talking to you and just telling you a story over a couple dozen drinks. The story of her first DUI and experience in prison is by far my favorite story out of the whole book. Although, the Goldie Hawn story is pretty damn funny as well.
Go buy this book. I think it was 14 bucks. So worth it! I just found out she came out with a book before this one and I am going to look for that next time I'm at Borders. I'm sure it's just as funny and entertaining as this one.
My M-day present!
I finally got my Mother's Day present! On Sunday we went to look for a jogging stroller, but I couldn't find any that I liked. So when we got home Jeremy and I looked online and found one that I loved! When I went outside to bring the garbage cans in, I saw a huge box on our front porch. I quickly put it together and strapped Layla in to make sure she fit. I love my new stroller!
Silly girl.
Layla likes to sleep on her Boppy pillow on her tummy. Today she was fast asleep in her favorite position on the couch and I was sitting next to the pillow. All of a sudden she kicks both her feet catapulting over the pillow and landing with her upper half off the pillow, and her lower half still on the pillow. You'd think landing in such an uncomfortable position she'd have woken up and started crying, but she stayed fast asleep. I had to get a picture before I put her back the way she was. She didn't even wake up as I picked her up and put her back on the pillow! Layla is definitely just like her daddy!

Mommy/baby naps!
That's my little chunky monkey laying in the center of mine and Jeremy's bed. He gets up for work at about 6:30 a.m. Sometimes his alarm wakes Layla up or she'll wake up on her own around that time. Once I get her belly full and she's in a milk coma I lay her down in the middle of the bed, right next to my head. She curls up and I have my arm wrapped up around her back. We get so warm and cuddly, and she is just the sweetest little thing! This is definitely one of my favorite moments with her. It's a great way for us to bond and have some good mommy and baby time. During the week I HATE it when Jeremy has to leave us to go to work, but being able to snuggle and have this alone time with Layla is such a great bonding experience.
I love the two loves of my life!

Happy Mother's Day!
Today was my first mother's day! It was pretty amazing. Jeremy let me sleep while he took care of the baby. We got some pizza from Little Cesar's and took the dog out for a nice long walk so I could get some jogging in. Jeremy had to run to the store to get some printer paper and while he was out got me a beautiful bouquet of flowers! I love it when he buys me flowers! We also went over and saw Jeremy's parents and grand-parents for a little bit. His grandma and grandpa are leaving tomorrow so we wanted to say good bye and let them hang out with Layla for a little while. We also stopped by Borders so I could pick out a few books. I got the new Chelsea Handler book and I heard it was pretty funny, so I'm pretty excited to read it. She reminds me of my best friend, they're both hot blonds and are very quick witted and hilarious.
So all in all, it was a pretty relaxing, low key day.
Happy Mother's Day to all the hot mamas out there!

Hello hello.
Layla met some more family today! Her great grandpa and great grandma Stava (Jeremy's mother's parents) came to town to visit. We went out to Outback Steakhouse and had a nice meal and fun little visit. Layla slept most of the meal, but towards the end she got a little fussy and wanted to eat so her grandma JoAnn fed her some formula.
We're going to have Mother's Day brunch with them tomorrow, so if I don't forget I'll get pictures and post them tomorrow.
Yay! Tomorrow is my first ever Mother's Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pictures...
Since Layla is a month old I thought I'd do a post with just pictures. I tried to put too many up in my last post and I figured I'd just add more in a new post...
I hope you enjoy =D
My, how she's grown!
Today my little baby is one month old! She finally started gaining weight at three weeks and is now quite the little chunker. Layla is becoming more aware of her parents and responds to our voices. She'll follow the sound of our voice if we move around the room. She's starting to stay awake at longer intervals and taking longer naps (which mommy and daddy enjoy!) In the morning after Jeremy has left for work and Layla gets fussy I bring her into bed with me and she take a nap near my head. Sometimes when she wake up she starts kicking and punching, which isn't fun for my face, but I enjoy our mommy and baby naptime!
Right now she's laying in her daddy's arms and they are both passed out on the couch. It's such a precious sight to see the two loves of my life together and happy.
Last week my parents finally came to visit, and it was so good to see them and how they interact with their first grandbaby. They've been so supportive of our marriage and pregnancy from the moment I told them the news, and I am very thankful I have such amazing and understanding parents.
This past month has been such a wonderful experience, and I love being a mother! I was so scared leading up to birth that I wouldn't know what to do, how to hold her, how to take care of her, but everything has seem to come so natural to Jeremy and I. He's the best father I could have asked for for my child.
