New Kicks, Naked Butts, and Lots of Urine.

So my mama bought me some new shoes at Sport Chalet where my brother and sister work. I got some really nice Adidas running shoes. I tried them on and it was like stepping into a cloud. They wrapped perfectly around my feet and it just felt right! Well, my mom and I walked all the way from her house and met my dad at the golf course (for those of you who don't know Vacaville or where my parents live, it's a LONG walk.) These new shoes made me feel so good that I made my mom run with me! I took off and told her to stay caught up. She did pretty damn good for a grama!!! We ran as much as we could and went as quickly as we could because we knew that my dad had some ice cold water waiting for us when we arrived at the golf course!
Layla no longer hates being naked. As a newborn, anytime Jeremy and I would change her diaper or put on a new onesie or get her in a bath, she'd scream! She hated being without clothes! Now she just sits around happy as can be wiggling her little butt around. It's really cute. My Layla, the little exhibitionist!
Today my mom changed her diaper and as soon as she opened the diaper, pee went everywhere. She had to act fast and cover her with the diaper so it wouldn't get all over the place. A few hours later, I was changing her and I took the diaper off and was wrapping it up and setting it to the side. When I looked back at Layla she was almost done peeing and she had gotten it all over the changing pad, herself, and the carpet! She of course thought this was the funniest thing ever, and I have to admit it was pretty dang cute.
Today we all went shopping in the new shopping center in Nut Tree. While at Borders my mom found the cutest little Sesame Street stuffed animal. It was a little blue Grover. He's bright blue, has big eyes and a big pink nose. Layla loves bright colors and she'll focus on faces and likes to look at eyes. So grama bought it for her and she's been loving staring at Grover! She grabs at him and feels how soft he is, and she'll try and talk to him and smile and laugh at him. It's so cute to watch her. She's growing so much and is able to do so much more!

First Lime.

Layla had her first lime today. One came on my glass at the restaurant so I had to let her try it. She say there and would lick it, and as soon as I'd pull it away she would make a face. It was the cutest thing ever!!! I tried the lime later, and it really wasn't that bad. I was not being mean to my child. Isn't she just so dang cute?!

One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor.

Me and Robin downing some strawberry margaritas. I think we each had three or four.

We shared because she couldn't handle all that tequila. I had to help.

The limes were tangy.

I put an ice cube on her shoulder and it was the funniest thing in the world!

Empty! Waitress! We need refills!

Yummy!

Something was funny. Or I might have been thinking about something real hard.

Double fistin'.

Drunk at Sports Chalet visiting Matt. We had to try on some Crocs to see what the fuss was all about. They were actually really comfortable! I think. I don't remember. I just remember saying that.

Look! There were some Jews in Sport Chalet! No wait, that's just me and Robin trying on girl scouts hats.

We had a fun night. Thanks for dinner mom! We had fun. I hope we entertained you =D

Rab-A-Dub-Dub...

...Little Layla in the tub. Okay, so she was actually in the sink, but it rhymed so I said "tub." Layla needed a bath last night so her Aunt Wendi and I put her in my parent's kitchen sink and washed her up. She put up a fight because she does not like her bath time! She'd much rather jump in the shower with mama! After she was all rinsed off I dried her off with her favorite turtle towel. She was either cold or scared because she grabbed on to the towel with both fists and held it close to her face. It was so cute how she would not let go. Once she was all dry I brushed her hair into a stylish mohawk and handed her off to her grama. Grama laid her down on the floor and gave her a nice little rub down with baby lotion. Layla enjoyed the massage and the lotion smelled so good! Layla only likes it when Grama Robbin rubs her down with lotion. Anytime I try and do it, she fights and screams!

Peete's Coffee & Tea

My mom and dad like to go every morning before dad goes to work to sit and drink tea and coffee and just visit on the outside tables. It's just nice to sit and relax and visit. Matt, Layla, and I joined them this morning and just sat in the warm weather. It would have been nicer if California weren't on fire. I can't believe this haze that just covers the sky! My mom and I took Layla for a walk and we really had to be careful and cover the stroller so that Layla had as little exposure to the smoke as possible.
I tried the iced white chocolate mocha, and it was just not as good as Starbucks! Tomorrow I think we're going to go again and I'm going to try the drink that Matty had. It was some kind of tea and it tasted a little fruity. I liked it, and Layla liked to stare at it. She likes to stare at the color red, so she was just in a trance staring at Matty's tea! Anyways, I had fun taking part in my mom and dad's ritual of sitting at their usual table outside at Peete's Coffee & Tea

Las Vegas Airport

On the way to California, Layla and I had a two hour layover in the Las Vegas Airport. It was a pretty cool airport. There were slot machines everywhere and there were tons of crazy people walking around. I love to people watch, and that air port is one of the best to people watch. I think that the people leaving Las Vegas after vacation are the best ones. You can tell because there is just something about them that says "What happened here, stays here." Though I really don't believe in that phrase. It will follow you. You'll always know that it happened. Anywho, those were the best ones. They were wearing clothing obviously bought on or for the trip. They look like they were trying to fit in to the LV lifestyle of party crazy life. I really don't know how to put into words how they all looked. Just know, that if you're ever flying anywhere, try to fly Southwest Airlines and stop in Las Vegas. You'll enjoy the people watching and gambling.

Missing daddy...

Jeremy called me today! We got to talk for a little while, and it was really good to hear his voice. He couldn't say anything about his work and what he's been up to, so it was mostly me talking. The other day when he called he had told me that he was starting to feel sick, like he was getting a cold. Today he said he felt a lot better. While he was on the phone I put him on speaker so that Layla could hear her daddy's voice. She was just staring at my phone. I know that she knew it was her daddy speaking and she was excited. She probably was confused because she knew she heard her daddy's voice, but she could not see her daddy. I know that Layla misses her daddy a lot and she will be excited when he holds her again for the first time.

I don't get it.

Almost everyone that has one of these blogs is obsessed with the Twilight book series. I don't get it. My mom is trying to get me to read these books and I've heard they're good. I don't know what they're about or anything though. I'd rather read about Chelsea Handler's sex life. Now that is entertainment! I'm pretty stubborn and am thinking about just refusing to read these books. Or maybe I'll read them while I'm here in California. That way I can just read my mom's copies and I don't have to buy them.
Hmmm. I'm making a poll on the side of my blog. Whoever reads my blog can help me decide...should I read the twilight series? I have a feeling I already know what the answer is going to be.

Besties...

This made me think of Robin:

Even though we really only talk about one =D
Robin needs to come over to my parents house and visit me. She also needs to bring her mama so that she can meet my little nugget. This is my public plea. Help get Robin's butt over here!!

I didn't get tagged...

...but Kristen didn't tag anyone on her blog for this. I'm going to do it anyway.
I like it because it doesn't require too much thinking.

What was I doing 10 years ago?
I was planning my 12th birthday party. I guess I'm not as old as I thought...or as old as I feel! Kristen was planning her wedding! Yeah, you're right you are old Kristen. You're lucky you've still got your looks =D

What are 5 things on my to do list today.
1-Go work out on the eliptical
2-Shower
3-Feed Layla some more
4-Probably change some diapers...wet ones only probably. She just had an explosion of stink about a half hour ago. So I think we'll just have wet ones the rest of the day...though she's been eating an awful lot. I don't know. So I'll definitely be changing some diapers. That's on my list.
5-Watch Swingtown. My guilty pleasure show. It's entertaining. Don't worry, I'm not getting any ideas.

Five snacks I enjoy:
1-Baked Cheetos.
2-Cinnabon
3-Popsicles (red or purple flavored)
4-Celery and Peanut Butter
5-Peanut Butter Fiber One bars.

Things I would do if I was a Billionaire.

Buy a house in Vail, CO. Pay off any debt my parents and Jeremy's parents have. Get a Chevy Tahoe. Pay off mine and Jer's debt. Get plastic surgery.

Places I have lived.
Napa, CA
Vacaville, CA
San Antonio, TX
Wichita Falls, TX
Biloxi, MS
Bellevue, NE

Jobs I have had.
Movie Theater
In N Out Burger Associate
Physical Therapy Tech, USAF
Mommy & Wifey (My favorite ever!!)

People I tag:
Wendi
Mommymommom
Robster
BrittneyS.

Now, y'all better do this when you have the time!

We Made It!!!

Here are some pictures from our trip to California so far. I'm only putting these up so that Jeremy can see them whenever he gets the chance to get on a computer. I'll write more some other time when I get the chance to sit and write about all that we're doing. We're having fun, but we really miss daddy!

Hanging out on the floor with Grama and Grampa playing with her new toys.

Grama and Grampa bought a new Boppy for Layla to sleep on and play. She has also started sucking on her fist a lot more.

Getting kisses from her Aunt Wendi!

Sitting up watching T.V. like a big girl.

Eating her first ever sucked! It was a Watermelon flavored DumDum and it was a little too tart for her.

She was playing on her belly on the floor while we were watching T.V. and she wiggled around so much and finally fell asleep.

My parents: 25 years and going strong!

Getting ready to get into her bedtime clothes and standing with mama!

My mom and I crawled up into the attic and found some of my old toys. Layla loves the little suns with faces. They make some noise and spin around. She really focuses on the faces and is starting to try and grab at it. It's really cute. Here she is staring at it.

My parents have this huge mushroom chair. I sit in it and I feel like I'm just all wrapped up in it, so I wondered what it would be like if Layla were in it. The chair consumes her!

I packed up her bouncer and brought it out here to California. Here she is sitting in it and her Aunt Wendi is talking to her and making her laugh. Aunt Wendi must know some great jokes!

Hanging out with her mama. We're Jeremy's girls!

She was asleep and kept reaching up and grabbing at my lower lip. She was making me laugh pretty hard.

We were tired little chicks.

Arriving at the Sacramento Airport. Grama of course had to take some pictures!

Uncle Matty meeting his baby niece for the first time.

Aunt Wendi meeting her little niece! Check out Layla's wings she got from Southwest Airlines! She's an honorary pilot! She flew the plane! And she was good!

We were so tired when we got to my parents. Layla fell asleep on the floor, I layed down next to her and fell asleep, and Wendi decided to join us. It was a good little nap.

Mom and I took Layla for a walk the first day. We went through the creek by our house. Layla didn't like being in her stroller with the wind in her face. She did like having her toys in there with her though. It gave her something to look at. Don't my boobs look amazing in this picture?!

Lightening Bugs

Okay, so for those of you who didn't know (or maybe I was the only one...) lightening bugs are REAL!! We don't have them in California and so I had never seen one. The other night I was on the phone with my mom and I was letting the dog out to pee and I saw a little light glow in the backyard. Robin and I went to investigate and they were lightening bugs!! I was so excited. I felt like a child watching fireworks for the first time. All over the backyard there were dozens of them lighting up their little butts. It was the coolest thing ever. We tried to get pictures, and I tried again today, but they are impossible to catch on film. Just like lightening. The past couple nights right after the sun goes down I've taken Zver out and we watch them. Last night and tonight Layla joined us, but she doesn't have the slightest clue what I'm getting so excited about. I had only ever seen them in movies and children's books so I thought they were just a made up bug to make the storyline better and more entertaining...but they're REAL! I love that they're here in the midwest because it's pretty fun to go out there and watch them. Zver likes to try and eat them. He'll eat just about anything. It's fun to watch him try and catch them in his mouth. He does the same thing with any kind of bug too. Flies will come in the house and he will chase them all over the place. My silly puppy.

I miss my love....
